Manchester City will continue efforts to embrace the Premier League title this season. On Sunday night (4/28/2019), Pep Guardiola’s troops underwent an away match against Burnley at Turf Moor.
For Manchester City, victory is an absolute target.
Midnight yesterday, City won the derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford, two goals without reply.
The win saw Man City record 11 consecutive league wins and officially top the standings with a one-point lead over Liverpool, with three games remaining. However, now Man City are back down in second place after Liverpool played their 36th match on Saturday morning (4/27/2019).
Liverpool rolled Huddersfield 5-0 at Anfield. City must win at Turf Moor if they don’t want to regret because the stakes are really hard: the Premier League champions.
Burnley are unbeaten in the last four games in the Premier League. After winning three consecutive wins over Wolverhampton, Bournemouth and Cardiff, they held Chelsea 2-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Burnley is potentially troublesome. However, City, which has not been bothered by European competition, is ready to perform optimally to secure three points.
This season, City have twice beat Burnley with an identical score of 5-0 in the Premier League and FA Cup. This time, despite playing at home to opponents, Manchester City remain favorites to win.
