Liverpool v Huddersfield Town (Premier League)

Liverpool continue to race in the hunt for the Premier League title against Manchester City. After Man City’s 2-0 victory in the Manchester Derbi against United (4/25/2019), Liverpool have the chance to take over the top of the table if they win the home duel at home to Huddersfield Town at Anfield on Saturday (04/27/2019) .

Man City will only meet Burnley on Saturday night. Victory over Huddersfield can put pressure on the Citizens.

Currently Liverpool are in second place, only one point at odds with Man City who are top of the table with 89 points.

On paper, Liverpool are expected to silence Huddersfield, who is the Premier League’s key team so far. Huddersfield have always lost the last seven games in the Premier League and have been confirmed relegated.

What’s more, Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, is likely to continue to lose a strong enough team. Because, Liverpool still have enough time before the trip to Barcelona. That meant the Sadio Mane trio, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah would drop from the early minutes to increase the chances of winning.

At the first meeting of the season, Liverpool narrowly won 1-0 at home to Huddersfield through Mohamed Salah’s single goal.

In his home match against Huddersfield last season, which was also Huddersfield’s first season in the Premier League, Liverpool won 3-0 through goals from Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum. This time the Reds also seemed to have no trouble making full points.

Despite the wind, Klopp wants his troops to really focus. Don’t let them slip. For a while, the fact they will face Barcelona in the semifinals was ruled out.

“We have enough time for recovery after the last game. We have enough time for recovery ahead of the next match. Barcelona has nothing to do with the Liverpool match on Friday night,” Klopp stressed.
