Real Madrid will host Athletic Bilbao at the Santiago Bernabeu, on match week 33 of the Spanish La Liga on Sunday (4/21/2019). Following this duel, Madrid hopes to Karim Benzema.

In his last three matches in La Liga, Zinedine Zidane’s side defeated 1-2 against Valencia, won 2-1 to host Eibar, and drew 1-1 at Leganes.

Karim Benzema is one of the most consistent of all Madrid players. He never missed contributing goals or assists in the last five appearances (7 goals, 3 assists).

Against Bilbao, Madrid will hope Benzema can return to show his best game. Because, Madrid will not be strengthened by Sergio Ramos, Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Junior, Mariano, and Alvaro Odriozola who were injured. Besides that, Toni Kroos was also ill and his condition was quite doubtful.

Athletic Bilbao has recently been a bit more consistent than Madrid. In his last five matches in La Liga, Bilbao won four times and only lost once.

In his last match, Bilbao won 3-2 at home to Rayo Vallecano. Inaki Williams bought two goals, while Raul Garcia contributed one goal.

At the first meeting of the season, Bilbao and Madrid played 1-1 at San Mames. Bilbao took the lead through Iker Muniain’s goal, while Madrid equalized through Isco’s goal thanks to an assist from Gareth Bale.

With these results, Real Madrid have always drawn in their last three matches against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. This time, even though it might be a little difficult, Los Blancos are aiming for more satisfying results.
